Mukhin A. B. On the Development of Management Thought in Russia: D. Pikhno’s Approach

This article is devoted to organizational and management aspects of academic research of D. Pikhno, who was a notable academician and public official. He was one of the first, who started developing theory of management in Russia. His vision of creating, functioning and management of different types of enterprises is analyzed. The role of the state in organizational and functional processes of Russian industrial companies activity is considered. Pikhno’s views on management and price policy in railway industry are emphasized.
