Bukhvalov A. V. Finance and Financial Management — Modern Approach: Preface to Classics of Finance

This article is an introduction to Classic of Finance Series, that consists of translations of four articles in finance (two of those are published in this issue and other two will appear in issue 2, 2003), related to the names of outstanding figures who established the building of financial economics and who were among Nobel Prize winners in economics of 1990s. As an addition to brief presentation of contents of those publications the author concentrates on implications of finance theory for Russian market and Russian companies, as well as for Russian researchers and teachers.
