This article demonstrates the opportunities that the income approach to business valuation could give for making strategic investment decisions in the real sector of economy. The case of strategic decision making in peat companies of Leningrad region, managed by specially organized managing company, is considered. Authors work out a problem of investments valuation in this kind of business.
