This article is one of the fundamental works on resource based approach. It analyzes prerequisites of this approach’s development in the context of strategic management theory. Authors define main concepts of the approach and propose tools for evaluation of the resources value. Issues of practical application of the resource based approach in strategic management are also discussed.
