Issue 2, 2004Follett M. P. Constructive Conflict This article considers the basic ways of dealing with conflict — domination, compromise and integration. The author defines conflict as inevitable moment of the appearing and focusing of differences in society. She argues for the benefits of integration in conflict situations, the only constructive way of dealing with conflicts, meaning that a new solution has to be found to the advantage of all parties involved. The main steps required for conflict integration are identified — bringing the differences into the open, breaking up wholes and anticipation of the conflict. The theory is illustrated with original experience from politics, casual situations and management practices. << Contents: Issue 2, 2004 ![]() |
