Kochurov E. V. Hospital Execution Efficiency Measurement: the Comparative Analysis of Methods and Models

The main subject of the article is the expediency substantiation of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) application to measure the hospital efficiency. Thereto, the critical analysis of widely-used technical and economic efficiency measures is carried out. Then the theoretical bases of DEA and SFA are briefly reviewed and their main features are compared. We conclude with the analysis of these methods' application experience in developed countries.
