Mukhin A. B. Savva Yakovlev — Merchant, Manufacturer, Businessman

This article is devoted to one of the most famous pre-revolutionary businessman Savva Yakovlevich Yakovlev. His versatile activities are looked through with consideration of economic, political, social and cultural changes in Russia of the XVIII century. Particular attention is given to the superior power to individual businessman and business on the whole. Yakovlev’s methods in management and his valuable contribution to the development of Russian industry are analysed in comparison with other outstanding entrepreneurs of that epoch.
