In article analysis of life cycle conception is presented as well as directions of application of that conception in contemporary organizational and managerial research. The history of origins of that conception was studied some main clauses of life cycle conception are given as well as the related metaphors. Directions of practical usage of the conception in different managerial studies for the explanation of reasons for running changes and uncovering patterns were researched. The comparative analysis of approaches for usage of life cycle conception is presented.
