Ruzhanskaya L. S. Corporate Governance in Ural Companies: Common Features and Peculiarities.

The paper deals with application of internal mechanisms of corporate governance in the Russian joint-stock companies on a data of the Ural region. The Russian corporations in due course show common features with the best practice of corporate governance based on English-Saxon model (division of possession and management in the ordinary companies of holdings, development of a board’s structure, payment of dividends, application of value based management model, and orientation to external financing). However in the conditions of imperfection of institutes the regional companies aspire to closeness and an establishment of close relations with the regional authorities.
