Issue 1, 2010Loukianova A. E., Pokhilko S. L. Measuring the Role of Intellectual Capital in Banks’ Value Creation. The paper focuses on the intellectual capital of banks, namely, its definition, structure and valuation. The research for this paper is designed to analysis the impact of fundamental value of intellectual capital on market value of Russian banks. Also classification of proxy indicators marking value of intellectual capital of banks is set within the research. Empirical part of the paper is based on the data from monthly bank reports and share quotations for the period 01.01.2004 — 01.01.2009. In conclusion the significance of intellectual capital elements in valuation of banks is statistically validated.
