The article considers the basic characteristics and components of the content of the course «Business in the Arab world», designed for the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University. Along with the formal characteristics of the business environment, the course deals with the political systems of the countries of the Middle East, mentality of the local population, historical and religious context of the development of the economies of the Arab world. The problems related to the features of the business etiquette, and the role of the Arab world in the global economy, the international division of labor, as well as the prospects of the cooperation with Russia are also among the questions studied in the course.
