Blagov E. Yu. Reactions to Technological Knowledge Renovation Necessity.

The article is dedicated to analysis of the knowledge resources-related factors influence on the boundary of the firm decision making in mechanical engineering industry. On the basis of the review of existing literature on research in boundary of the fir and knowledge resources management topics the hypotheses are suggested and then tested for face validity and corrected by series of in-depth semi-structured interviews with top managers of Russian and Spanish mechanical engineering companies on the topic of recognizing the necessity to renew technological knowledge as the initial motivation for making such decisions. Hypotheses testing is conducted by a pilot quantitative study.
