Comparative Research of Employee Recruitment, Career Advancement and Firing in Europe and Russia This article presents the comparative analysis of employee recruitment, career advancement and firing in Europe and Russia in terms of managers preferences toward the procedure of using those instruments in human resources management. The analysis of Russian and European experience provides the process of decision making while selecting the best candidate — the specialist with specific professional skills or the person having general skills in one’s professional limits. Career advancement in Europe deals with four types of promotion policies, demonstrating the differences in using this instrument. The main question in cultural influences on employee termination decisions is firing the good, average or the old. |
